Are you ready for some football (the spherical kind)?European champion Spain and perennial powerhouse Brazil are the favorites. Looking at the teams, I like Argentina's chances. Moreover, the famous, or infamous, Maradona, now Argentina's most controversial manager, announced that he would run naked in Buenos Aires if Argentina were to win the World Cup. Considering his current physique, Diego must have watched "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" one time too many.
Since only one nation has ever won the World Cup while being the European Champion; and no European country has ever won the World Cup outside of Europe, the statistics do not bode well for Spain.
Brazil is the only nation that has won the World Cup in all the continents where it was being held - Europe, South America, North America and Asia. Will Brazil continues that feat by being the first nation to win on African soil?
